League Divisions Include:
Instructional – K-1st Grade (League Ages 4-6)
Introduction to the fundamentals and basic rules of softball, while fostering a positive spirit that encourages girls to develop a passion to play. Players will learn the basic skills of hitting, fielding, throwing, base running as well as being introduced to general concepts of the sport. Typically, teams will have 1 practice and 1 “game” per week.
Rookie AA – 2nd-3rd Grade (League Ages 7-8)
Coach pitch division where players build upon the basic skills of hitting, fielding, throwing, base running and get introduced to the rules of softball. Teams practice 1-2 times and have 1-2 games against local towns per week.
Minor AAA – 4th-5th Grade (League Ages 8- 10)
Combination of player and coach pitch softball that is the beginning of competitive play, but still builds the foundation of the game. Teams practice 1-2 times and have 1-2 games against local towns per week.
Major – 6th-7th Grade (League Ages 11-12)
Competitive division with increased emphasis on team strategies and individual skills, where the full Little League softball rules apply. All games are player pitched, and players will learn advanced hitting, fielding and base running. Teams practice 1-2 times and have 2-3 games against local towns per week.
Senior – 8th Grade (League Ages 13-16)
This level provides opportunities for continued development as girls transition into High School. Players will continue to learn advanced hitting, fielding and base running. Depending on numbers, this may be a town team or merged with a local program.
General Information:
· Registration includes a team jersey and two pairs of socks. There will be an opportunity to purchase an additional jersey during the registration process.
· Players should purchase their own softball pants (black), glove and cleats.
· A Fielding Face Mask is required for all Rookie, Minor, Major, and Senior players.
· If needed, player evaluations will be held for all players in Minor and Major divisions prior to team formations. Dates and times will be announced via email.
· Indoor League Practices and Clinics will be held in March, dependent upon gym availability. Dates and times will be announced via email.
Please note:
Teams are dependent on having the minimum number of players to form a team in each division. If there are not enough players and a team cannot be created for your child’s age, refunds will be issued.
